First freeze and reboot

Have had this phone about 10 weeks now. I just had it freeze on me while using the cranberry app and not much else going on with the phone. What I find interesting is I bought an Otter box case with the phone but haven't put it on until today. Any chance this is related? I have noticed problems with some of the swipe motions and screen response near the edge of the case, wondered if that might contribute.
