How to set up calendar notificatios

In the past few days, people sent me many calendar invites, but I am uninformed of these invites coming my way.

They show up on the BlackBerry Calendar, but their arrival is not announced anyhow, and I am unaware that I may need to confirm my attendance.

Say, if anyone sent me an invite right now for a meeting next Saturday, I would have no way of knowing they have done so unless I check the calendar for next Saturday.

Any fixes to this?
