Z10 Compared of Different Countries

just saw a few interesting things...
1. I have a Z10 (UK) STL 100-2
2. In India your getting STL 100-1

I tried this experiment..
i took an out of the box frsh indian z10 STL 100-1, put in a rogers sim & started the phone : upon starting it shows me OS version 10.0.10.261 (Build 426597 , Radio:10.0.10.460)
See attached pic of the box : there also it shows me 10.0.10.261 as out of the box. i tried an update & it said no updates found.
Then, i inserted a vodafone india sim card and started it again : this time upon start-up it showed me OS version as 10.0.10.58 : I am still puzzeled how this happened?

Another thing to notice is that the STL 100-1 & STL 100-2 hardware is different in ways that the SIM Slot & the memory card slot are also in different places.

Now, this OS thing is completely confusing...
(The Indian Version in on the Left & the UK version on the Right)
