I picked up a White Rogers Z10 today (from a 3rd party) and was trying to get it started up. I am with Fido but from what I have read it is supposed to work interchangeably with the Rogers version. I tried inserting my Fido LTE Microsim but the phone gets upto the point where it's trying to download the 5mb system update and it just sits there not doing anything. I've tried connecting to multiple Wifi Hotspots hoping for it to update but still nothing happens.
Do i need to find someone that has a running/valid Rogers SIM before the phone will bootup/update? Thanks.
Btw. When I plug in my Fido SIM it boots up with the FIDO logo, and when I put in an unactivated Rogers Prepaid Sim (that I cut to MicroSim size) it boots the Rogers logo.
