Delay to screen on from bottom up swipe?

Hi... does everyone have a delay before the screen displays when activating the Z10 using the bottom up swipe?

I thought it was because I wasn't swiping all the way from bottom to top but that doesn't seem to be the case. In fact there is a similar delay when pushing the power button at the top.

I would hope that activation would be instant on but in my case it's 1 to 2 seconds.
