Sms & weird font

Hi Guys,
Loving my new Z10... One of the best phones I've used in many years.

But, I got a text message today from a client, and the text is ok, but there are three or four odd characters on the end.

I'm guessing they're emoticons... But I can't tell...

Any ideas on how to get them to display properly?
