What about now BBM security with no BIS necessary

Hey, guys!

I was just thinking about BBM going cross platform and so on. But, for us, BlackBerry users, there is a real difference in BBM security with BIS or regular data plan ? I mean, is it the same cryptography and security using a regular plan then using BIS plan? I'm on a regular plan right now and don't know if i'm totally secure just like someone using BlackBerry exclusive data service (BIS).
