Reset when off!!!!

I keep my phone on my night table. I used to put it bedside mode, but the phone would reset during the night and a message would later wake me.
I started turning the phone off( hold button, 3,2,1.. white screen)
The phone still resets and wakes me! I got a text from a drunken buddy at 3:30a.
Sometimes I don't get a message that wakes me, but the phone is on when I take it out of the holster.

I know the phone does not truly turn off because of the gestures, but this seems silly!!!

I love the phone, but this and the fact the alarm is not reliable sux!!
I am on ATT 10.1 leak ( the same thing occurred with both 10.1 versions)
