Closing tiles frequently might be wrong

Hello there, I recently made the switch from an I phone and a brief encounter with an s3

I tried something recently and it seems to help overall performance and battery life. Just let the tiles be. Don't close them. Seems like every time you open a frequently used app from scratch it uses more power.
